So how was everyone else's Thanksgiving? Mine was pretty good actually! My inlaws didn't drive me totally insane, i had some good food, and my Aunt's husband made a total ass of himself.....yet again!
So here was our day in a nutshell. We woke up way too early to get everyone showered/bathed, dressed, hair combed and pulled back, teeth brushed, diaper bags packed and overnight bag for Emma (who stayed with my mom) and we headed out the door. First stop on the list.....the inlaws (whom my oldest daughter refers to as grandma and grandpa coocoo....their doing not mine!). So on the way to my inlaws we stopped at the liquor store for a (big) bottle of white wine. My inlaws don't drink so i knew i would need this later on in the day at my mom's house. We arrive at the inlaws, my husband does what he always does, runs to another part of the house to work on a project (this time it was fixing their computer) and leaves me to socialize with my inlaws, and to watch both kids. and yes i have to watch Emma because my inlaws would let them climb the walls and get into everything imaginable.....because it drives me insane (ok so that's not their REAL reason, but i'm sure the fact that it drives me insane that they give her whatever she wants, and let her do whatever she wants is an added bonus to them....just like it's an aded bonus to me that she calls them coocoo!). So luckly we got there and it was almost time for lunch/dinner whatever you want to call the huge bird that we ate. Jeremy goes to get his grandma for her house down the street, again leaving me to still deal with two kids....luckly my MIL wasn't trying to pump her full of sugar like she aways does. So Grandma Lattimer arrives and it's turkey time, and non a moment too soon because i was STARVING! So this trip to inlaw land was fairly uneventful, kids eat, play, i bug my SIL and BIL to have a baby already, we take some pics, and pack back into the car to stop #2.
The next stop is my mom's house, which is where we spent most of thanksgiving. So we arrive at my mom's house.....except my aunt's car is not there. I am confused because when i called my mom earlier she says that they are already in town and at my grandparent's appartment. So we walk inside and my aunt, cousin and grandparents are there.....but no Mike. What happened?! is the first thing i ask. "Nothing" is the answer i get. "No serously" i say. Serously nothing happened....Mike didn't even come inside. So where the hell is he then?????? So here is what happened. Earlier in the week it snowed so my mom decided to clean out 1/2 the garage so she could pull her car in there. Well a while back she redid her kitchen, pulled out the old counter top and got new granate installed. It's very nice but my mom still had some pieces of the old counters in the garage. Why i have no idea, but she put them out to the end of the driveway so the garbage men would take them away. The problem was garbage day was delayed because of the holiday so there was no pickup that week, which isn't a HUGE deal unless you're Mike and think everyone is out to get you. So he pulls in and see's the old countertops at the edge of the driveway with some nails in them (because that is how they are attached afterall!) and gets all pissed and CONVINCED That my mom put them in the driveway (it was like a millimeter in the driveway) for him to run over and get a flat tire! SEROUSLY.....YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!! So he drove around Fulton and waisted gas all afternoon because he refused to come in the house....because my mom is out to get him. Yes he is a moron, my aunt realizes she married a moron and we have been telling her for years to leave the moron who dosn't think he needs to work, and has had cars and motor homes repo'ed because he just dosn't make the payments!
We are soo hoping for christmas he just stays home because christmas is at my house and i will not tolerate that type of childish behavior!
