short sale????!!!!

So i figured out today WHY excatly they call short sales, short sales....and it has NOTHING to do with the timeframe at all! They call it a short sale because A) Pain in the ass was taken and B) because everyone involved is short on sanity by the time everything is said and done!
Ok lets rewind a second shall we, im working with a client that put in an offer on a house that is going short sale, they put in this offer on October 14th......it is now December 4th and we won't get the green light until next week.....sort on sanity are my clients? Just a tad!! But the good news is we WILL be getting the green light next week....im so excited i could dance on the rooftop, and my clients share the same excitement with me! The fact that is deal will be moving in a forward direction soon is really making life alot easier to deal with right now!


Things are aerie are going positive as well, after a rough few weeks things are getting straightened out and i feel alot better about my position there and the key role i play. This brings me great pleasure because i do enjoy my work, i enjoy the company and i enjoy the contrubution i can make to my family. So two thumbs up to the hard working team at my store.

Work work work......

Our furnace broke tuesday, ya know because being sick wasn't enough! So anyways to pay for that $700 repair (and the $340 dryer that broke the week before) Jeremy will be doing stock at either AE or aerie saturday mornings until we can get that paid off. Me picking up a weekend shift at aerie would have serously hurt my sanity level because i don't get to see my kids enough as it is right now, so Jeremy took one for the team and said he would work in the stock room. He will be in aerie's stockroom until the middle of Januray, and then after that i may have to see what i can arrange with AE because hopefully by then our full time stock peoson won't be coughing a lung and half on her deathbed!

In other news i'm still on the fence about aerie this week.....i LOVE it there, and i LOVE most the people, but i'm wondering if i'm too old for it (OMG did i JUST say that!!!). Serously though everyone i work with is in their early 20's.....and i'm getting way too close to 30 for my comfort level! Part of working with teens and 20somethings is that they act like teens and 20somethings......and i just don't know how much of it i am gonna be able to handle long term. I forgot that not everyone goes to their job, does their job to the best of their ability and then went home.......NOPE not like that inthe retail world, people play favorites, they listen and don't listen, and then there comes the whole working with ALL girls......girls will be girls and let me tell you i'm waiting for the day it gets UGLY! We also have a high turn around and it's frustrating to see the same people you trained last week quit in a month because they don't like it!!! So it will be interesting to see where i find a nitch within the AE company as a whole.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILES!!!! I'm off to find a bag to put his present in.....because i'm all out of boy wrapping paper!

I hate being sick....

I had to actuallybreak down today and go to the doctors. I HATE being sick but now im getting sicker and i've been having allergy problems that i have been letting go for too long. Jeremy being the wonderful and loving husband that he is took my sick tushie to the doc, and the stayed home the rest of the day so i could get some rest. Im feeling a little better now but i still can't breathe very well and im worried the children will eat me alive tomorrow.
In other news Natalie is walking now. She has been for a month or so but man she can really go now. She follows Emma around everywhere she goes and even has a few hiding spots i see her go into when she wants to be left alone. Poor Emma this means no more carrying Natalie around (and no more heart attacks for mommy!) and she can't just leave the room to get away from sharing. Natalie is also in LOVE with babydolls. She ALWAYS has to be carrying them around, so its a good thing that Aunt Becky got the twin pack for x-mas 2 years ago.
Tomorrow is Jeremy's birthday and im gonna hopefully have enough energy to make him a cake. He is at the store now getting eggs and i hope i have cake mix......if not i will be buying a cake and telling him i made it myself!

its that time again!

Well it's time for another monthly update. Jeremy has been busy with work (as usual) and will hopefully be switching projects soon so we will be less busy with work. He was gone last week for work so i wasn't able to work at aerie at all, and let me tell you i had some serous withdraw! I even went shopping at the mall twice last week so i could see some of my aerie friends and of course buy gymboree (did you redeem your gymbucks yet?!). This week i am back to the aerie grindstone, and hopefully picking up a new listing this week as well. Yippie for real estate work, it always seems to come when i couldn't possible be any busier with my life, but it puts money in my savings account, and i of course LOVE real estate so i'm never gonna complain about it (much).

Natalie is walking now. Alot. And it's kinda weird to watch because she is supose to be my baby, forever since we arn't having anymore. SO i guess my baby is officially a toddler now, and it's kinda weird. Emma really likes school. Her newest thing is she wants pierced ears because i have been wearing earlings more latley. I tried to explain to her that it hurts for a second when they pierce them but she didn't seem phased too much by it. If she still wants them after x-mas i may get them done for her birthday. That's a good 4th birthday present right?

Well there is this month's mini update. I'm sicker than a dog so im going to take a nap them go to work.

Another Update

So i have another mini update. Emma started pre-school yesterday!!! I had just come to terms with the fact that i was not going to be able to get her into the program i wanted and i would just school her at home for a year, when i got the phone call that there was an open spot for her! Yippie thank you lord for helping me in my time of need! So anyways she was all excited to go to schho with her new backpack and tinkerbell lunch pail....that is until she realized that Daddy was not staying with her and then she kinda freaked, but the teacher promised me that she only complained for a couple seconds and then played with the other kids. So of course she was soo excited to see mommy and Natalie there to pick her up, and said goodbye to her news friends and came home with us. She only goes every other day so we shall see how tomorrow goes.

In other news i am not a full blown agent!!! I graduated from training a few weeks ago and i'm happy to report i now have my very own deck, and chair (hahaha to my boss) and dont have to stress about getting a listing anymore! Don't get me wrong if you call me up and ask me to list your house i'll do it and be happy about the business, but if i'm gonna have to go out and find brand new clients that were not refered to me i'm going to look for buyers, because it is a buyers market, and at the end of the day if a buyer is gonna buy they will buy something....a seller on the other hand is more likley to back out of selling their house (especally in this market) and them im left with nothing and out money. So bring on the referals guys.....if you refer me a client and i do business with them then you get a gift too!

I'm BACK!

Long time no chat. Much has changed in the last year....mostly in the last couple months and i am happy to report the changes. First off i am no longer working full time. I took Emma out of daycare this week and i'm now working from home with a limited clientbase so i can give my kids the mommy time they need. There is a long drawn out story about why i took Emma out of daycare, but i will not get into it now. If anyone wants to know who NOT to hire to watch their kids feel free to leave a comment or send me an e-mail. Secondly i am now working a night job at the mall. I've been with American Eagle since 2001 and i'm happy to report i am now working nights at their women's store aerie. That's right, ya need a bra and undies then i'm your lady....come on in and buy some stuff! We have more than just bra's and undies, but that's what we are known for.
